In a D Magazine survey the DFW Metroplex psychiatrists voted Dr. Miles one of the Best Child Psychiatrists. Besides her private practice at Tollway and LBJ she is also a Consulting Psychiatrist at Children’s Health Children's Medical Center. She is an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern Medical School where she teaches clinical psychiatry to medical students, residents, and fellows. Her students voted her the best professor of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Miles was the Medical Director of Psychiatry at Baylor Plano. She won the Outstanding ER Performance Award at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. She completed her residency in General Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Southwestern, and had practiced pediatrics during the first part of her career.

Dr. Miles is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a member of the APA, AACAP, TSPP, TSCAP, NTSPP, and DAWP.

She serves on several committees at the UT Southwestern Medical School, TSPP and NTSPP, as well as on the Medical Advisory Board of the St. Mark’s School of Texas.
